Education Academy

The purpose of the Neuman Systems Model Education Academy is to recognize and honor

educators for their contributions to Neuman-based education.  Projects that warrant

recognition are courses and /or curriculum, teaching strategies, educational tools, and/or

publications that demonstrate how the Neuman Systems Model has guided their development.

Education applications may be at the associate, baccalaureate, master’s or doctoral level of

education.  Award recipients will be future contributors to the NSM Education Academy.

Neuman Systems Model Education Academy Fellow Award

Up to five $100.00 Education Fellow Awards will be made each biennium.

The Award is named for Dr. Rosalie Mirenda, an educator par excellence, who

served as Chair of the Nursing Department at Our Lady of Angels College, (now Neumann

University), when the nursing curriculum was revised to incorporate concepts of the Neuman

Systems Model into the nursing curriculum.  Dr. Mirenda served as first President of

Neuman Systems Model Trustees, when they became incorporated in 1988.

Details of the award are provided in the link below. Click to retrieve details of the award.

Awardees are expected to present their work at the next symposium.
